It's no where near as complete as we had planned due to busy schedules, laggy machines, and project files blowing up, but you can see a little of what we had in mind.

Redickerous Teaser
So, I just checked out Vimeo, and indeed, it is converted. For your viewing pleasure, we have provided a mish-mash of what we hope to make our film into later, a teaser of what's to come.

Agonistic
All good things come to an end. Well, we're still rolling, so it must not be good. Just kidding. Right now, Joe and I are a little behind in our work. Needless to say, we decided to be adventurous and take on something ambitious.
That being nice and all, I think we will still have something fun to show, even if not quite complete. You can find it on the classes server for the screening. I hope to see you all there.

As promised, here are some of our discarded methods using real pictures.
As you can see, we considered using just a hinge at the shoulder in this one.
We also tried a combination of a rotation about the shoulder and the puppet tool.
The puppet runs both along the arm and at the shoulders of the torso.
test3
And here we see multiple hinges, one at each shoulder and elbow.

Final Project Production Continued
So even though Joe's already done our update for the week, I'm going to post something about our progress.
As is with life, plans change. Right now, we've altered our original plans by a bit such that more animation will be done by hand. Joe's hand, specifically. That means he'll be doing more of the traditional hand animation and most of the syncing work while I will work more on the purty effects that are going to be in the final product. Both of us will work on editing, puppeting, collecting more assets, and other such work.
Alas, with that change, I will put up one or two of our abandoned tests in the next day or so you can see some of what we might have possibly done perhaps.

Massive Project Planning Hemmorhagging All Over The Page!!!!!!!!!!
Pitch and Proposal
Joe and Justin always thought that they were destined for greatness. Little did they know that they would find themselves in a situation filled with puppet animation, graphics effects, and massive Michael Bay-onesque type action.
Ben Bays, their professor, one day loses Joe and Justin in a horrible car accident. Going mad by the loss, he vows revenge. This is the start to the greatest love story ever told? A forbidden love between a normal bearded man and a wacom tablet.
All characters will be animated by a combination of photoshop, 3-d, puppeting, and the like.
The story of Ben's journey to reach his destiny involves the use of ?After Effects Powers? such as particles, matting, and teleportation.
This project allows us to use many of the techniques and abilities available in after effects in order to create a story of lovely daring-do that will make people bleed marshmallow peeps from their eyes and forever regret not knowing the name:
PROFESSOR BEN BAYS!
Assets
Photo characters (3)
Puppet versions of photo characters (3)
Photo backgrounds: road, sky, city, classroom, hallway
Photo mise-en-scene: tables, chairs, desks, computers, wacom tablet, car, tree
Effects: particle explosions, particle debris, time remap, matting
Schedule
Week 1: Plot, Script, Storyboard
Week 2: Gather Assets, Puppet Characters, Animate, Voice Recording, Begin Sound Design
Week 3: Add Sound, Lip Sync, Effects, Export for Editing in Final Cut, Edit that Ho
Holla at Storyboards!!!
Warning: due to the epic nature of the story, storyboards end here. Also, they're out of order because of how it got uploaded...

So, that's the game plan with all the sensibilities of Ross Perot.
